Combat Prototype: Project SN

"Bleed to Heal. Kill to Survive."

This is a Prototype focused purely on the combat mechanics and "Game Feel" of Project SN.

The goal of this project is not to showcase next-gen graphics, but to demonstrate that a combat system can be intense, reactive, and fun using only primitive shapes (cubes and capsules).

Face off against a multi-phase Boss, master the timing, and feel the weight of every strike.

Key Mechanics

  • Heavy-Fluid Combat: A system that blends Soulslike strategy with Hack'n'Slash speed.
  • Rally System: Did you get hit? You have a window of opportunity to recover your health if you counterattack aggressively.
  • Dual Defense:
    • Block (Right Click): Mitigates damage. If you perform a Perfect Block against powerful attacks, you initiate a CLASH.
    • Counter (Q): Interrupts attacks to stun the boss.
  • Cinematic Clash: Interactive sword clash. Mash the button to win the struggle and execute a devastating strike.
  • Brother's Assistance: Your NPC companion fights by your side. Use him strategically to heal yourself or boost your damage.

Controls

  • WASD: Move
  • Space: Dash (Dodge / Animation Cancel)
  • Left Click: Attack / Push (during Clash)
  • Right Click: Block. You can block all damage and attacks. (Hint: Do it just before impact for Perfect Block)
  • Q: Counter Ability (Stun)
  • E: Ask Brother for Help (Heal)
  • F: Activate Damage/Speed Buff
  • R: Secret interaction 

Disclaimers & Credits

To maintain transparency regarding the development of this prototype:

"Programmer Art" This game does not contain final art assets. Everything you see are cubes, capsules, and Unity primitives. The intention is to prove that the gameplay is solid without relying on expensive 3D models or final assets ("Whiteboxing").

Audio and Music The combat music and sound effects (SFX) used within the arena are not my property. Assets from existing soundtracks or with royalty-free licenses have been used solely for prototyping purposes.

  • Original Music: The only original piece is the Main Menu theme

AI-Generated 2D Art Specific 2D assets, including UI Icons and the artwork for the Controls Screen, were generated using AI tools to visualize the game interface for this prototype.
